A few days ago, while rambling around Bucharest I stumbled upon a group of Colindatori (carollers), Roma musicians who play around the neighborhoods before Christmas.
Usually they have a singer, musicians and a "Capra", or goat (a symbol of fecundity), that is a man dancing and spinning around to the rhythm of music in a colourful attire (you can see further Romanian masks and costumes in this previous post). The costume of the "goat" is indeed covered in multi-coloured ribbons, tassels and small pieces of mirrors.
I'm posting here a tiny extract of a longer video I did for a personal project that shows the Colindatori playing in the streets of Bucharest.
